Hi CVI Families,

We're gearing up for Baseball Season!  Our first General Baseball Meeting for 2018 Coaches and Managers is this Wednesday, 12/13, from 7-9pm in the Cafeteria at Canyon Middle School.  Please mark your calendar, as this meeting is mandatory for anyone who will be coaching or managing a team this season and obtaining a lanyard!

This meeting is a great time to take care of all your paperwork, register your own kids (if you haven't already!), and turn in your Frozen Player forms. Here are the requirements for Coaches or Managers to obtain a CVISL Lanyard:

1. ATTEND MANDATORY GENERAL MEETING, which will include a presentation from Positive Coaching Alliance

2. Submit completed Volunteer Application to the League Registrar at   and sign Coaches/Managers Code of Conduct form

3. Submit a copy of a valid government-issued photo I.D. (Driver's License or equivalent)

4. Head-shot photo (or forward jpeg mugshot photo to the League Registrar)

5. Complete Concussion Awareness Training – The required online course can be found at: http://www.nfhslearn.com. Upon completion, please forward a copy of the Completion Certificate to your Division Coordinator or the League Registrar.

6. Completion of online Cal Ripken Course (Mandatory for Managers Only - Coaches are welcome to complete) - The required online course can be found at: www.baberuthcoaching.org . Upon completion, please forward a copy of the Certificate of Completion to your Division Coordinator or the League Registrar. Once you have completed the course, your certification will be valid for the remainder of your coaching/managing career with CVISL. Additionally, upon successful completion of the course, the associated costs will be reimbursed by CVISL – simply present the Certificate of Completion to your Division Coordinator and request the course fee reimbursement.

We look forward to kicking off a great season of CVI Baseball!

Thanks, and we'll see you at Wednesday's meeting!
